Since UPenn is one of my dream schools, I may apply for ED, but I’m not sure what to apply for on campus. My ultimate career objective is fund management or investment banking.
So my current chances at Penn are 24%, I would prefer Huntsman over Wharton, and Wharton over Arts and Sciences, but Huntsman only accepts like 50 students a year and Wharton is also more competitive than Arts and Sciences
Does submitting an application to the Huntsman program lessen my chances of being accepted to Penn?
Is Wharton “that much better” than the arts at getting students into investment banking or fund management, given the differences in acceptance rates?

The following general eligibility standards apply to current Penn students wishing to transfer internally to the Wharton School:
- The application period is open to Penn students who are nearing the end of their first year (after two semesters) or in the middle of their second year (after the third semester).
- External transfers—students who came to Penn from another college or university—are ineligible to apply for internal transfers.
- Students who have already transferred internally to one of Penn’s undergraduate schools or divisions are not eligible to do so again.
- There is no internal transfer application process for College of Liberal and Professional Studies at Penn students.
Additionally, students must fulfill certain academic and course prerequisites, which are detailed below.
All students wishing to internally transfer into Wharton must meet the following academic prerequisites and requirements in addition to the eligibility requirements:
- Students must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3 in order to be considered for internal transfer. 30. *.
- Fall and spring semesters only, applicants must complete a minimum of four (4) course units (CU) each semester at Penn.
- As long as they are finished prior to applying for admission to Wharton, students are permitted to take required courses over the summer.
- Summer courses taken at Penn do not count toward the four-CU requirement.
- During an academic year, only one course may be taken for a pass/fail grade. Required courses cannot be taken pass/fail. *.
- Students must earn a “C” (2. 0) or better in the prerequisite courses in order to be eligible to apply. Students cannot retake required courses. *.
- After the term’s official end, all outstanding grading issues (incompletes, NRs, or GRs) must be resolved within two weeks.
- External exam (e. g. Before the application is submitted, the student’s record must reflect any scores, waivers, or credits (e.g., AP, IB), as well as transfer credits.
May Rising-Sophomore Applicants (August Entry)
By the end of the spring semester, students must have finished the following three prerequisite courses.
- MATH 1400 (MATH 104) or MATH 1070 ¹ ²
- ECON 0100 (ECON 001) ¹ ²
- ECON 0200 (ECON 002) ¹ ²
1 AP/IB credits and waivers are acceptable substitutes for these requirements. 2 Beginning with the spring 2022 advance registration, all course numbers will shift from three to four numbers or characters. December Sophomore Applicants (January Entry)
As a rising second-semester sophomore, you must complete the following five (5) required courses by the end of the fall semester:

- ECON 0200 (ECON 002) ¹ ²
And two (2) from the following four options:
- ACCT 1010 ²
- BEPP 2500 or ECON 2100 (ECON 101) ²

- LGST 1000, LGST 1010, MGMT 1010, or MKTG 1010 ²
1 AP/IB credits and waivers may be used to satisfy the prerequisite requirements for MATH 1400, ECON 0100, and ECON 0200. Also take note that ECON 0110 (ECON 010) transfer credit fulfills the prerequisites for ECON 0100 and 0200 for external transfer students pursuing a dual degree.

- Even though STAT 1010 is listed on a student’s transcript as “STAT 1110” under “Penn Equivalent Credit,” students who have received an AP Statistics waiver from the Statistics Department have fulfilled the requirement. ”.
- Students must take STAT 1020 and one additional upper-level statistics course of their choice in order to satisfy the Business Fundamentals requirement for statistics even though they have completed STAT 1110, which satisfies the STAT 1010 requirement for admission.

- After completing STAT 1010, students may enroll in STAT 1020 (or ESE 4020 or STAT 4310).

Please understand that the application process is very selective. Admission is not guaranteed even if a student meets the minimum GPA requirement and all other eligibility criteria. It is significant to note that the admissions committee will also take into account the caliber of the applicant’s responses to the application questions as well as how much of the following has been accomplished:
