Those who complete the Baccalaureate Nursing program will receive a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN). S. N. ) degree. Candidates for the program take their first two (i. e. General education credits from the first two years (freshman and sophomore) of any accredited college of their choice, as specified by the admission requirements for coursework prerequisite requirements.
Prerequisite Grade Point Average (GPA)
Based on the entire list of prerequisite courses that we demand, the prerequisite GPA is calculated.
- We will take the better score from each prerequisite’s first two attempts if you have retaken any prerequisites.
- We exclude or – grades from the prerequisite GPA calculation. For instance, if a candidate received an A in a course, the GPA calculation would reflect the A. *.
*Note: Applicants must enter their grades on the NursingCAS application exactly as they appear on the official transcript.
The most recent ATI TEAS test must be taken by all applicants.
- It is acceptable to take the ATI TEAS exam in person or remotely online.
- There is no restriction on how many times a candidate may take the ATI TEAS exam.
- The highest score obtained on the ATI TEAS exam as of this writing will be taken into account.
Applicants must ask ATI to send the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio (UT Health San Antonio) the official TEAS score report. By the application deadline, the ATI TEAS exam score must be received by the office of admissions.

A completed NursingCAS application must be submitted before the application deadline. All fees are accesed through the NursingCAS application. The School of Nursing Application Fee is $45 and is non-refundable. The NursingCAS fee is separate and is set by NursingCAS.
