University of Regina Courses Offered
More than 120 undergraduate and 80 graduate programs, including several specialized ones like Police Studies and Public Policy, are available at U of R. The Saskatchewan Collaborative Bachelor of Science in Nursing Program (SCBScN), a newly established nursing program offered in partnership with Saskatchewan Polytechnic, began accepting applications in the fall of 2011. Local cohort intakes for this degree are at the campuses in Regina and Saskatoon, and they are in Swift Current and North Battleford. Additionally, it is the only option for bilingual nursing in the province that offers half of its classes in French. The university also offers a master’s degree through the Collaborative Nurse Practitioner Program (CNPP). It has a number of partnerships with police services in the province and elsewhere due to the fact that it was the first university in Canada to offer a bachelor’s degree in police studies. In addition, it offers a number of interdisciplinary degree programs, such as the program in Creative Technologies. This program aims to unite cultural theorists, engineers, and scientists. Students can select courses from engineering, computer science, and fine arts.
English as a Second Language Program (ESL)
Students who receive a conditional acceptance letter and don’t meet the English requirement must go through this program. Through a curriculum based on themes, it seeks to integrate all language abilities, including speaking, reading, and writing. There are 16 students in each class that is held on campus. The ESL program offers:

University of Regina International Entrance Scholarship
This scholarship covers up to CAD 2,00,000 annually. Candidates for undergraduate degrees who have a study permit automatically receive 3,000 CAD. Eight months of free housing at the university or a tuition reimbursement program are their options for this sum. This scholarship is open to secondary school (or equivalent) graduates who are applying for admission to a direct-entry undergraduate program. Students must also be enrolled in nine credits during the award semester and have an early-conditional admission average of 85 percent or higher.
UR Circle of Scholars Entrance Scholarship
The top three students in each of three distinct geographic areas are given it each year. Students who satisfy these requirements are awarded CAD 5,000 per year for up to four years. Additionally, each year at the Circle of Scholars event, these students are invited to meet with the President of the University of Regina. The Fall Intake undergraduate applicants are automatically eligible for this award.
Welcome Solidarity Scholarship and Housing Support for International Undergraduate Students at the University of Regina
For students who continue their academic journey with U of R beginning in Winter 2021 or Spring/Summer 2021, the university has extended this scholarship. The eligibility criteria are as follows:
- When they arrive and register for the Fall 2021 term, new students who only sign up for Winter 2021 or Spring/Summer 2021 will receive a CAD 1,000 tuition credit.
- When they arrive and register for the Fall 2021 term, students who sign up for both Winter 2021 and Spring/Summer 2021 will receive a CAD 2,000 tuition credit.

On Treaty 4 and Treaty 6 territories, the University of Regina has campuses in Regina (main) and Saskatoon. It has three federated colleges—Campion College, First Nations University of Canada, and Luther College—as well as ten faculties, twenty-five academic departments and schools, eighteen research institutes, and research centers. Wascana Centre, one of North America’s largest urban parks, contains 239 acres on which the Regina campus and the historic College Avenue campuses are situated. Is on-campus housing available?
U of R provides on-campus housing for all international students. With more than 16 different room styles to choose from and the option of residing in a Living-Learning Community, it claims to have some of the most reasonably priced student residences in Canada. Students can choose from four on-campus student residences:
- College West: This residence was recently renovated in 2018 and is a favorite among international students. It has a modern apartment-style living with shared interactive spaces.
- La Résidence is a place where anyone who speaks French is welcome. There are 50 large private rooms with full bathrooms and a small refrigerator available in this building.
- Paskwaw Additionally, it has pool tables, computer rooms, and various other amenities.
- Kiik Towers: With 606 beds, it provides private dorms with bathrooms, common areas, and modern, fully furnished apartments.
