Is UMD Honors or Scholars better?

Admission for current UMD students is extremely competitive, and there are very few openings. A minimum cumulative GPA of 3. 5 is required to apply. By enrolling in a departmental honors program within their academic department or college, upperclassmen can also become members of the Honors College.
