UF invited 15,220 applicants to become Gators on Friday.

Every year, there are more and more applicants; this year, there were 52,513 applications, up from 49,401 applications the year before. Additionally, UF received more applications this year than it did the 14,561 applicants it accepted last year. 3,248 of those accepted in 2021 will begin their studies in Summer B, and 11,972 will do so in the Fall.

PaCE, or the Pathway to Campus Enrollment program, admitted 3,607 students this year as opposed to 3,719 students last year. In the meantime, the Innovation Academy accepted 624 new students, about the same as last year.

Lana Gabryluk, a 17-year-old senior at Lake Nona High School in Orlando, claimed that as soon as she learned that she had been accepted to UF for the fall semester, she jumped out of her chair in excitement and called her mother, a UF alumna.

Oakes declared, “I’m really looking forward to the school spirit, attending football games, and sort of starting over.”

Senior at Hillsborough High School in Tampa, Zoe Schuler, 17, made her decision on Friday and decided to enroll at UF in the fall. She wants to major in applied physiology and kinesiology.
