The UCLA and Loyola Marymount University (LMU) teacher preparation programs were rated as subpar in the “Teacher Prep Review 2013 Report” by the National Council on Teacher Quality, which examined over 1,100 colleges and universities that prepare elementary and secondary school teachers.
According to the report, those enrolled in teacher preparation programs at LMU and 20 other California colleges “are unlikely to obtain much return on their investment” and “even minimal training.” “.
