The foundational curriculum for first-year students forms the basis of the engineering degree programs offered by the Whitacre College of Engineering. This is followed by an upper-division program that consists of courses taken in the sophomore, junior, and senior years. After completing the foundational coursework, a student must apply to and be admitted to an upper-division degree program at Whitacre College. Students who are not accepted into an upper-division degree program must leave the institution.
