Location and environment
Just 14 miles from New York City, the university’s suburban 58-acre park-like campus stands proudly in the picturesque town of South Orange, New Jersey. It is close to the action but not completely submerged in it. Students can find a bustling town center with restaurants and pizzerias, banks, pharmacies, Starbucks, Cold Stone Creamery, the South Orange Performing Arts Center, a movie theater, and much more just five minutes from campus. Even if students never want to leave this peaceful suburb, they can travel in just 30 minutes to NYC’s Penn Station via the train station, which is located in the town center.
A new medical school, New Jersey’s first private medical school, recently opened its doors at the Interprofessional Health Sciences campus, which is situated in Nutley and Clifton, New Jersey, thanks to a partnership between Seton Hall and Hackensack Meridian Health. In order to improve student learning opportunities, Seton Hall’s College of Nursing and School of Health and Medical Sciences have also relocated to the Interprofessional Health Sciences Campus. Here, there are cutting-edge facilities and laboratory spaces.
Majors and degrees offered
Seton Hall offers over 90 rigorous academic programs in seven undergraduate colleges. They have excellent programs in business, education, communication, diplomacy and International relations, nursing, humanities, social sciences, biology, chemistry, physics as well as direct admission joint degree programs in physical therapy, athletic training, occupational therapy, physician assistant and speech language pathology. They recently opened a new medical school in partnership with Hackensack Meridian Health. A new direct admission joint Bachelor’s/MD program has also been created. And at least 25 percent of the seat in the School of Medicine are reserved exclusively for Seton Hall students. Seton Halls Stillman School has the number one rated leadership program in the country and has AACSB accreditation, the most rigorous accreditation a business school can hold, putting them in the top 10% of business schools in the world and their accounting program in the top 1% in the world. Graduates of the business school, along with graduates of the College of Communication and the Arts, The College or Education and the School of Diplomacy and International Relations have 100% admit rates into graduate school and nearly a 100% employment rate for students within six months of graduation. Plus, the school boasts a 93% admit rate into medical school for its pre-med students.
Campus facilities and equipment
A new state-of-the-art fitness center, residence halls, parking, and academic buildings like the Science and Technology Center, which houses futuristic biology and chemistry labs, an atrium and auditorium, as well as an observatory and greenhouse, have all been built recently by the university. The dining facilities have been expanded for our students. For students visiting our campus, Bethany Hall, the new Welcome Center at Seton Hall, is also the first stop.
Tuition, room, board, and fees

Student organizations and activities
There are over 130 clubs and organizations, along with 22 Greek societies, on the Seton Hall campus. Aside from broadcasting at our award-winning, student-run radio station, WSOU-FM, which draws more than 120,000 listeners a week from the NYC area, was recently inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, and is ranked the top college radio station in the country, they can audition for one of the roughly 12 theatre productions cast each year. Students can contribute to one of the three student newspapers or join the Brownson Speech and Debate Team, which has consistently been ranked among the Top 20 college and university forensic teams. Students can also cheer on one of the Pirates – 14 Division I Big East athletic teams or they can play club and intramural sports in the 25 programs offered in which about 50% of students participate
The university takes into account a student’s high school grades, rigor of the course load, and standardized SAT and/or ACT scores.
