DS has submitted ED 1 for the School of Computing’s “undecided” track, Computing Exploration. It appears that we should hear back at least regarding the admission portion by Thanksgiving based on last year’s threads. DS’s admission is anticipated based on stats (and ED), and I’m hoping for some merit funding.

Good luck to all applying ED 1!

My daughter recently applied to ED, but for a different major. My oldest child is a fourth-year student at RIT right now, and she adores it. When she applied to RIT in 2018, she didn’t learn of her admissions outcome until December 15. What I’ve discovered is that various schools use various decision dates. Wishing your daughter luck and hoping she hears as soon as possible!

My kid has submitted an application but is applying RD. Due to the fact that COVID put us behind schedule with school visits, even the “friendly” ED needs a response date that is too soon for us. But good luck to your kids!.

My daughter got her acceptance letter this morning from ED1. Good luck to all the applicants!.

Congratulations! That is great news.

My son was accepted last night as well. Congratulations!

Wow. Almost 9 out 10 people applying ED are accepted!. Use these odds if RIT is your top choice; it makes sense. I did not know that.

Also accepted yesterday was our son for ED I’s Computing Exploration course. Merit award letter also came at the same time. Very happy.

Additionally, my D received letters of acceptance from ED and a merit scholarship for computer engineering. So excited. My daughter had her heart set on attending this college after a teacher at her high school recommended it, so we went on a campus visit this summer because I had never heard of the institution. I was worried it wouldn’t fit her because I thought it would be too small, even though this area has excellent engineering programs and Bright Futures (in Florida). We went up, and even though it was summer and there weren’t many students on campus, the RIT campus, facilities, faculty, endowments, and programming completely blew me away. This university supports women in STEM and is one of the best-kept secrets in the country.

I know the different schools release ED at different times, so what school within RIT did she apply to?

I’m the parent of a fourth-year student at RIT who will receive a BFA in 3-D computer animation in May 2022. She absolutely has loved her time at RIT. Our family has been extremely pleased with this school. We adored it before the pandemic, but they really rose to the occasion and did an amazing job of keeping the staff and students as safe as possible during the pandemic. Our middle child is currently awaiting her ED from RIT. I would love for her to attend as well. I want to give you some information on a private group the parents have that is full of information, so why don’t you send me a private message?

On Tuesday, my son was accepted into ED for University Exploration and Presidential Schollie. Can’t wait to be a part of the RIT community.

My oldest is in her final year and will graduate in May, so welcome to the RIT community! We have loved it. Please message me with any questions. I’d like to tell you about a parent page that is also available. Just in case it violates CC rules, I don’t want to post it here. Congrats to your new TIGER (that is our mascot).

Planning to apply ED2. Deadline is 1/1. Is there a benefit to applying for ED2 earlier than the deadline?

The only benefit, in my opinion, is that you arrived earlier than those who wait until the very last day of submission. My daughter has done ED1 and submitted on 10/31. People who submitted their applications a few days prior to her have already received their decisions.

My daughter got her RIT ED earlier this week. She was admitted! I will have my 2nd child there. Good luck to everyone waiting to hear from the school.

Congratulations! Waiting for my son to leave his deposit.

Thank you and welcome to the RIT family. My oldest is graduating from RIT in May. I’m glad I’ll have a new baby there in the fall. What will your son’s major be?.
