One of the best design schools in the country, Parsons is located in New York City, one of the most dynamic and exciting cities in the world.
A demanding interdisciplinary curriculum and a “learn by doing” philosophy are advantageous to students. The learning environment is intimate, with over 90% of classes housing fewer than 20 students
All BFA candidates enrol in the same course sequence, created to give a solid foundation in the methods, skills, and abilities used in different forms of art and design.
Each student consults closely with an advisor after Year 1 to choose a major and career path. There are 11 BFA concentrations available to students, including interior design, product design, and communication design.
The BFA in integrated design is a particularly appealing option. Students take classes in urban design, fashion, service design, and sustainability.
Each Parsons student will have completed an internship for pay or academic credit by the end of their BFA program. Students work on a variety of tasks and design projects during their internships at recognizable companies like HBO, Nike, the International Rescue Committee, and others.
One of The New School’s seven colleges, Parsons is the most populated.
