The main focus of life here is a “very collaborative environment,” where goals are “based primarily around team activities,” whether they are achieved inside or outside of the classroom. Instead, they will discover a “program… trying to develop a different mindset from traditional MBA programs for those who view business as a brutal, individual endeavor. This is made possible by the MBA Student Association, which “works to provide the students with social activities and community service projects outside of class. The objective is to give both full-time and part-time students the chance to network with one another and to create opportunities that will have a positive impact on the neighborhood. ”.
MBA students spend a lot of time brainstorming outside of class and on assignments. There are always a few of us throwing plans at each other, as one student explains. There are other people involved in these plans besides just those from Silicon Valley; they include textile innovators, fashion designers, and others. It’s a very stimulating environment. In addition, there are numerous clubs, cultural events, and of course Raleigh’s nightlife to divert students in the MBA program from their relentless pursuit of knowledge and experience.
