What are the prerequisites for a doctor of chiropractic degree?
The CCE’s (Council on Chiropractic Education) admissions policies are followed by Life Chiropractic College West. All DC (Doctor of Chiropractic) programs in the US are accredited by the CCE, which is acknowledged by the US Secretary of Education.
Evaluating Transferable Semester Units
Entering students must have completed at least 90 transferable semester units (135 quarter units) from a nationally or regionally accredited institution to be eligible for admission to a chiropractic doctoral degree program. Students who have carried a 3. 0 GPA or above (out of 4. 0) will be considered for our standard and/or accelerated program. Students with a 2. 75 GPA but are falling short of the 3. To be reviewed and taken into consideration for an alternative admissions track program are 0 guidelines.
While the CCE mandates the 90-unit threshold nationally, it also guarantees that students have the groundwork needed to succeed in a post-graduate level environment.
Science Prerequisites for a Chiropractic Degree:
The required 90 semester units (36 quarter units) must have included 24 credits from life science or physical science courses. There must have been a significant lab component in at least half of those science courses.
We strongly advise working with our admissions staff to choose the courses that will best prepare you for success in chiropractic school and beyond if you are still pursuing your undergraduate degree.

Life Chiropractic College West strongly advises a well-rounded course of study, and we require transferable credits to be at least 100-level courses, even though there are no specific requirements for general studies credits.

AATP: Alternative Admissions Track Program
Candidates with a minimum cumulative grade point average of 2 75 on a scale of 4. The admissions committee will review any applicants who have 0 for the required 90 semester units and may admit them on an alternative admissions track (AATP).
All majors, both with and without a focus on science, are open to applicants with undergraduate degrees. The admissions committee will review applicants whose degrees do not place a strong emphasis on science, and they may be admitted on an alternative admissions track (AATP).
