Update my information Admissions officers at The George Washington University are waiting to hear from you. Your application has been sent to School of Business.
School of Business / School of Business is situated in an urban area in Washington, DC.
From The SchoolEach year, approximately 110 new students are selected from a pool of about 1200 applicants to enroll in the Full-Time MBA Program at GW. The Admissions Committee bases its decision on an applicant’s work experience, academic preparation and performance, strength of recommendations, scores on the GMAT, the applicant’s statement of purpose, and the admissions interview. The advantage is this: As future businesspeople, students must learn to understand this relationship and be able to voice the needs of their firms. GW management students have the opportunity to gain a better perspective of the relationship between business and its non-market environment through coursework, team projects, and by attending open sessions of Congress, regulatory agencies, and other institutions. And with so many resources close at hand, through internships and part-time positions, our students have the opportunity to build their professional careers before they graduate.
MBA students are welcomed by “polished,” “professional,” and “brilliant” professors who typically “maintain an open door policy” inside the classroom. “Most of my professors have surpassed my expectations in terms of making their subject matter relevant and engaging,” says one impressed student who offers his or her praise. Unfortunately, MBAs don’t treat GW administrators with the same respect. Many bluntly assert that they “are poor at their jobs. However, as one upbeat student explains, “Things are picking up and changing for the better even though we’ve had three different deans since I started a couple of years ago. ”.
