Requirements By Country Of Origin
Send only the documents that are necessary to support your application; please do not send any additional documents. The educational institution or a notary should certify copies of originals as “true copies” for the majority of nations.
Applicants who are under 18 must also submit custodianship documents.
If there are any concerns about the legitimacy or legibility of documents submitted electronically, George Brown College admissions officers reserve the right to request the originals.
Admission Through GBC’s EAP Program

What is the difference between the admissions test and the placement test?
To find out if you meet the requirements for admission to the college, admissions tests are used.
After you accept an admission offer, you must take placement tests in English and/or math. Placement tests determine whether you are prepared to enroll in English and/or math credit courses at the college level in the first semester or whether you need to take a foundation-level course first to advance your skills. Learn more from the Assessment Center regarding programs that demand placement testing in English and/or Math.
Note: Your Admissions Assessment results will also be used as placement results if you previously took one (as part of the college application process).
How long is the processing time once I submit an application through the Online Application System (OAS)?
We are unable to provide precise processing times because of the large number of applications we have received. Please be aware that we won’t be considering applications or making offers until 6-7 months before the beginning of a chosen term.
The processing period begins when we start reviewing applications, not when we invite applications. The current application processing time is approximately 3-4 weeks.
All applicants who fulfill the minimal general and program-specific requirements are welcome, but we are unable to admit everyone. Please be aware that programs may end early if there is no longer room for enrollment after the program’s international enrollment cap has been reached. Application submission does not ensure acceptance into a program.
The program I am interested in is closed, is there anything I can do?
Sadly, programs may end early if international enrollment is already at capacity and there are no open spots. You can inquire about other available programs with the International Centre or your admissions officer, or you might have to wait to apply for a future intake.
