What you need to know about Early Decision:
- Application commitment is binding
- You may only apply to one school Early Decision
- If accepted, all other colleges and universities must receive a request to withdraw your application.
- Students, parents/guardians, and the application form all sign the Early Decision Agreement.
- A non-refundable $500 enrollment deposit is required by January 10
- You cannot defer admission under Early Decision

Students may apply for Early Action if they want to know their application status sooner. Students are allowed to apply to other schools besides Elon since Early Action isn’t binding.

First-Year Spring Admissions is open to high school graduates who want to begin their college careers in the spring.

This is the final application deadline for first-year admissions. Applications received after this date will only be taken into consideration if there are openings.

Academically gifted students can benefit from exciting benefits offered by the Elon Fellows programs, including unique courses, guaranteed internships, paid research assistantships, faculty mentoring, grants for study abroad, and scholarships. Please visit the website for the Fellows Programs to learn more about each program. A separate application is required and due January 15. When the Fellows invitation is extended in early February, students who have been chosen for the Fellows competition will be informed of their admissions decision.

The Odyssey Program, which offers financial, academic, social, and mentoring/advising support to ensure participants have the chance to fully engage in Elon’s many experiences, offers scholarships to students with high financial need who also exhibit strong academic and leadership potential. FAFSA and CSS Profile are the two financial aid applications that applicants must submit in addition to a separate application, which is due by January 15. Candidates for the Odyssey Program should not apply Early Decision.

Accelerated Pathways in PA and PT

Elon University provides an expedited route to its highly competitive graduate programs in physician assistant studies (PA) and doctor of physical therapy (DPT). The Accelerated Pathway, designed for undergraduate students in a wide range of majors, provides a 3 Five-year undergraduate program with the chance to enroll in Elon’s doctor of physical therapy or physician assistant studies programs in the final semester of the senior year A separate application is required by January 15.

Does Elon offer early action?

Does early action increase chances?
Early action programs generally do not significantly increase your child’s chances of enrolling in college, especially at highly selective institutions. They merely make it possible for your child to determine whether they have entered more quickly.
What GPA is needed for Elon?
Minimum GPA of 3. 0 for undergraduate work. Applications with a GPA of 2. 5-2. 99 for undergraduate work may be accepted provisionally. If the applicant obtains a GPA of 3, they will be granted full admission status. 0 in the first semester.
Do early action applicants get accepted faster?
You can apply earlier than with regular decision thanks to early action and early decision. Applicants receive admission decisions sooner, usually starting in mid-December. A typical early action plan allows you to apply to multiple schools. However, early decision is a commitment between you and one college.
