Eligibility of Durham University
If you do not have the necessary qualifications for direct entry to an undergraduate or postgraduate degree, you may be eligible to enroll in a route program at the Durham University International Study Centre. On our Queens Campus, the International Study Centre offers a warm environment where you can get a taste of the teaching methodology you’ll experience if you decide to pursue your degree. The courses are made to help you advance your academic understanding, study techniques, and English language proficiency. After completing your pathway program at the International Study Center and receiving the necessary grades, you can continue on to your degree at Durham University City Campus.
There are programs for the Pre-Masters route, International Foundation Year, and English preparation.
Durham University Library contains 1. Bill Bryson Library (main), Queen’s Campus Library, Leazes Road Library, Palace Green Library, and Durham Business School Library are its five branches, together holding five million printed books. The university manages the Durham World Heritage Site, which includes Palace Green, Durham Castle, and an Art Deco chapel, and has 63 listed buildings.
The on-campus hostels in every college can be accommodated for an average cost of GBP 111 per week with various room and catering options, as well as a TV room, games room, café, study space, and laundry facilities.
30 postgraduate rooms and approximately 220 undergraduate spots are available. We have 42 ensuite rooms, 26 shared rooms with two single beds, and several double rooms, but the majority of our rooms are single, standard singles with a single bed and a shared bathroom and toilet. Numerous academic and social opportunities are available at Durham University on campus. The university hosts a wide range of cultural events, summertime sporting events, and summertime recreational opportunities. There are also numerous additional amenities, including bookstores, bars, nightclubs, and cafes.
Durham University is a fantastic institution, and I’m so happy we decided to apply there. The way they have developed over the past few years, with a new sports center, student housing, and a fantastic dining facility, really impressed us. There are many really nice places to eat and drink right next door, and the facilities are simply amazing. There are also numerous spaces for students.
