When we believe PhD candidates exhibit exceptional promise but are not yet prepared for doctoral studies, we frequently admit them to our MA program. If this is the case, it will be made clear in your acceptance letter whether you have been admitted to the MA program rather than the PhD program. To be considered for a position as a teaching assistant, there is no additional work that must be done. However, it is advised that you mention this in either your personal statement or C if you have prior teaching experience. V.
