We welcomed our new global class of 255 EMBA students to Chicago Booth this autumn.
These Boothies are a diverse and interesting group of students who attend our campuses in Chicago, Hong Kong, and London. Let’s get to know them by the numbers.
This year’s class’s average Executive Assessment score is 154. Our new EMBA students are a clever crew. The average GMAT score is 699. When you take into account the range of academic and business backgrounds represented throughout the program, these scores are even more impressive. Among the incoming class this year, 78 percent took the EA and 19 percent the GMAT; the remainder chose the GRE.
We have 48 citizenships represented in our global class. This year we also have our first ever Gabonese and Bahrainian students in the program, which is a lot of languages spoken.
Women make up 32 percent of this year’s EMBA class. There are more female students than ever before, including data scientists, lawyers, businesswomen, engineers, and, of course, mothers.
In our global class, 28 different industries are represented. Technology, energy/oil/utilities, consulting, health care, and investment banking/brokerage are this year’s top five industries. The EMBA class gathers a remarkable range of expertise with an average of 13 years of work experience.
And One Fun Fact
It’s unusual for married couples to enroll in our program at the same time, but at least they’ll always have someone to compare homework notes with because there is one married couple in our class this year. And long-haul flights are excellent study opportunities.
