Please carefully read the list below if you are submitting a transfer student application to Brandeis University. It outlines everything you need to include with your application. Additionally, it contains other things that are necessary for international transfer students.

• A completed Common Application.
• $80 application fee (or fee waiver).
• Official copies of all high school transcripts and/or GED certificate.
• copies of your official college transcripts from each post-secondary institution you have attended
• An official Transfer College Report (pdf) from each college or university you have attended while pursuing a degree
• a recommendation letter from a college professor who has instructed you in one of the subjects listed below: math, science, social sciences/humanities, languages, or English.
• If you are currently enrolled in school, a Mid-Term Report (pdf) that includes grades for all classes
• Financial documentation (if applying for aid): A completed CSS Profile. A completed FAFSA. Most recent tax returns for both you and your parent(s).
• For transfer applicants, SAT and ACT scores are advised but not necessary.

Please take note of the following additional requirements if you are an international student applying as a transfer:

• English Proficiency. International students who do not speak English as their first language must submit their English proficiency test results. Exam results from the following tests may be submitted by students: TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language) IELTS (International English Language Testing System). Duolingo English Test (DET). This requirement does not apply to applicants who have successfully completed two English composition courses at the university level taught in the United States with a grade of B or higher. This requirement does not apply to applicants who attended a high school where English was the primary language of instruction for four or more years.
• Financial Documentation. You must submit: The Certification of Finances for International Students via your DEISconnect account if you are not requesting financial aid. supporting financial records that show how much money the family will pay for the applicant’s first year of study in tuition and fees Examples include financial certifications from banks or other financial institutions, statements of earnings from employers, and, if available, tax returns.
